Masha Solus examines cultural heritage not as a fixed legacy, but as a contested and mutable field continuously reshaped by the present. Through the inversion of historical portraits, the artist disrupts conventional readings of the past, exposing the unstable relationship between preservation and transformation, tradition and contemporary agency.

By destabilizing familiar images through color inversion, Solus creates an anamorphic shift that reveals latent cultural codes and power structures.
